Disk 1, live at Cardiff Castle. Stereophonics live at Cardiff Castle
captures an unforgettable live performance with the electrifying atmosphere of their home crowd.
Intercut with an open and humorous interview.
Disk 2, performance and cocktails live at Morfa Stadium. Described by the band as
"the best party we've ever thrown", Stereophonics live at Morfa Stadium is cut mixing
on-stage filming with behind-the-scenes footage, graphically illustrating the raw-adrenaline
fuelled energy of Sterephonics' incredible live performance.
Disk 3, 'call us what you want but don't call us in the morning' The performance and
cocktails video collection. On location and behind the scenes, join Kelly, Richard, Stuart and
co on a journey that stretches from Thailand to Scotland, Italy to Australia as the alternately wet,
frozen and sleep deprived stereophonics shoot the videos that have come to be an integral part of the
band's working life.

With two well-shot live concerts, and a jam-packed DVD of music
video's, running with a total playing time of 5 hours 20 minutes, this package represents incredible
value for Stereophonics fans who haven't already purchased the previously-issued Cardiff Castle live DVD.
The concerts are well filmed and short interview or concert preparation snippets between the tracks help
stop the boredom factor creeping in. The video DVD features a mixture of tracks featuring live footage
or simple storyboards.

If you're a fan of "live" English band music then this package is well worth checking out and
the trio that are the Stereophonics demonstrate impressive skills - at least when playing music. The
interviews and back-stage scenes suffer from such inane conversation that one is almost left wondering
if Kelly actually gets someone else to write the band's intelligent song lyrics, but fans will no doubt
love the band's "we're just three simple lads from Wales" philosophy on life.

Picture quality is good, with the first DVD being in 4:3 ratio
only. All concerts have been filmed on videotape and the quality of that medium is reproduced
to high standard on the DVDs. Sound quality is excellent for "live" guitar music like this.

There are no real extra's as such, but the pricing and packaging, together
with the originally featured interviews constitute more than one has come to expect from a music DVD package.
Overall rating for
DVD extra's: "OK"
